YouTube is replacing TV. New ways for companies to advertise so therefore we'll be seeing more of this stuff around the net.
YouTube really improved in making their interface and uploading faster, but they created this whole new concept - Live (news, info, etc, etc...) they want to be the TV of the future...
Interesting fact: From January 1, 2009 there will be no advertising on television (from 8pm to 6am) due to a new law in government. And from January 1, 2012 no more TV advertising of french tv screens.
Anyway, hope you like the following video.

Western Spaghetti
Hope you like it....
"Filmed in stop motion, Western Spaghetti is a clever cooking simulation, an arts-and-crafts extravaganza that manages to make bubble wrap look like boiling water and lets red velvet fill in for tomato sauce. The ingeniously inedible meal is the work of Adam Pesapane, 35, a digital artist in New York City who goes by the nickname PES. For more of his self-described twisted creations, check out PES's site at eatPES. It's truly magical."

This guy made this for his project thesis. Now he works for many animation studios as AD. He also did some ads, but he stayed on the more artistic side.

Reg Mombassa
Hey guys.. how is going?
I'd like you to see these graphics and check out other stuff of this guy.. i think he's amazing!
I spent a lot of time looking for his name and finally i got it.. Reg Mombassa.
He's a painter and he worked a lot for Mambo Clothing. These are two example of the kind of stuff he did.. really strong and rebel concept for a clothing brand.. i'd say it's anti-advertising.
Anyway... enjoy Christmass and all the rest.

Happy X-Mas
After having the meeting with one of the two creatives in our portfolio class i really understood some important things.
He said its more important for AD in the agency's to some more creative work rather then showing a product and a logo.
Building up an idea with the brand and product in a creative concept is more what they are looking for.
As some examples i posted a couple of things if think he was talking about.

Esselunga ADS
Hello all!
In the last weeks we spoke about mix and objects based campaign for the graphic course… Here one of the most effective Italian adv for a supermarket.
They had adopted this kind of communication for 6 years if not more.
The concept behind the ads is so easy but to strong: to create other things using normal products that you can easily find in a supermarket.
In their last campaign ESSELUNGA creates a real range of character joking with famous people and their name.
Some of their campaign was banned as the one of Cocco Siffredi.
Enjoy!

AIDS
Hey all!
I’ve always posted something enjoyable and funny, but now I want to show you these campaigns.
How terrible they are? But... guys they work... a lot! I think you can't just have a look at that and then go on. They make you really reflect about this terrible illness.
They’re different campaigns come all from the same French agency: the TBWA.
Now I leave you think on that…

Serbian stuff
hello everyone,
I wanted to share this video with you... It's about a publishing company from Serbia which has a tradition of publishing a calendar which is designed by 12 different artist from all over the world (depending of the year).
The stuff is very graphic design oriented, but my point was to show you how these designers had to deal with something completely unfamiliar - the main theme "Serbian Cyrillic alphabet".
Enjoy... and see you soon...

Hey all,
On an earlier post i spoke about GREEK CINEMA and how we dont have a lot of it. So i searched and i found some really cool pics inorder for you to understand more about GREEK THEATRE.
I m posting the architectural sketchs and how an ancient greek theatre was built. Remember there were no microphones, nor speakers to support the performance, so the actor had to have a good VOICE and an even better arthrosis. No matter of course how good you were in the above mentioned qualities, one of the best things about an ancient greek theatre is the way it was constructed to isolate other sounds and only absorb more of the sounds coming form the scene. Look at the pics and imagine how cool is that to achieve..
There is an old saying that : if you stand on the top of the public seats and another person lights up a match in the scene you can hear the noise :)
Cheers
