GREECE CAMPAIGN 2008

Hey all,

So, as you may know, Greece along the years have been famous for its islands and culture. Before 2004 ( the Olympic Games in Athens ) the Ministery of Tourism has done many actions promoting the greek land focusing only on the touristic islands, beach, water, sun in a very fantasy and fairy way. Too superficial for me, being Greek and knowing what they are talking about.

Now they released the new campaign called > GREECE, THE TRUE EXPERIENCE 2008.. I like it cause its more natural and a bit more effortless than the last ones..

Here it is.. If you havent been to Greece maybe this will change your mind:)

My dears once more I found another “CAROSELLO” Italian advertising comes directly from 1962.
The product is LAMBRETTA, the singers that played in the TV commecial were the “Quartetto Cetra” a very popular music group in those years.
It’s amazing! Even more for the people who can understand Italian!

Great album so far, as well as the video, for music lovers check the fantasma album, a jewel of weird electronics from the 90's. For video lovers, check the rest of the videos in Youtube, or buy his last album named sensuos + DVD (is a DVD full with the fir song video and other crazy stuff.).

Okay, so we ( the two groups that have jazz as their project) recieved some Jazz music from Martin and there was this one song in particular which somehow reminded me of a song from my childhood. And after some minutes of thinking, I got it! 
Anyways I am posting it here, since we in last class were talking about sampling, and the use of references. 

So the original tune was from : Weather Report - River People 
There is one part they took from this song and used it in the 0:51-1:18 second in this youtube clipp: Super Mario Bros. 2

Now the interesting part is that Weather Report made this song in 1978, and the nintendo one later....

Okay try to listen, and find what I did...Haha I hope someone can hear the connection, otherwise I´ve just gone out of my mind with this Jazz project.
